Forgings
A controlled deformation of parts to achieve better strength on parts, forgings are considered. At its simplest level, metal forging refers to a manufacturing process where a preformed billet is pounded, squeezed, or hammered under immense pressure. The metal or billet is heated to a predetermined temperature before its decrystallisation and are presented into a split tool as tremendous pressure is exerted, forcing the alloy to take the shape of the tools. Intermediately forgings process are further classified into types as Rolled forging, Open Die & Impression die forgings, Cold forgings etc.,
Applications
Forged parts’ possess high strength, durability, dependability, and economy make them suitable for critical applications starting from Hand Tools to Automobile
applications – Drive shafts, Powertrains, Energy industries – Valves, Fittings till Aerospace applications – Engine heads, support shafts, etc.,
